How can I obtain a
Personalised Accessory?
A personalised hair accessory or item of jewellery is the perfect way to complete your outfit and create a harmonised look.
The Lucky Sixpence is able to offer 3 levels of service each offering a varied degree of personalisation. They are as follows:
1. Multi options
Most designs that The Lucky Sixpence offers (with the exception to one of a kind pieces) have the option to choose your metal or stone colour. You are able to buy these items directly on the website and they will be subject to the usual lead times (see FAQs for more details on shipping times).
2. Make it Bespoke
When you have fallen in love with a design on the website but would like a little tweak ( maybe you want the earrings shorter, you want crystals instead of pearls or want sterling silver rather than plated for example), a bespoke version can be made for you. Just get in touch to discuss the design alteration. Bespoke designs may be subject to a change in the listed price - this will be discussed with you and a quote will be provided.
These designs can generally be made within the standard lead times - however there may sometimes be exceptions depending if specific materials have to be ordered in.
3. Custom Designed
Imagine wearing something that ties all those carefully thought out details from your occasion together and reflects exactly who you are, imagine someone listening to you and hearing exactly what it is you want and then designing and making it for you ... well that is the custom service!
Janie has made headpieces and jewellery from classic styles to the avant-garde and everything in between.
The custom made service also offers the opportunity to rework your own sentimental jewellery items - breathing new life into them and creating the next chapter of their story.
You will work 1:1 with Janie the designer to create a truly unique design specifically for you.

How does the custom made service work?

Get in touch to arrange a free consultation where I can get to know you, your style and what sort of thing you are after. It's a good idea to discuss investment at this point. I'll do an initial design for you during consultation. Consultations can be in person or online.

Following the consultation a £50 deposit is paid in order to reserve your slot, take the design process further - sourcing materials, tweaking the design and creating a quote for you. If I am planning to use your own materials I'll ask for them to be sent to me at this point.

A quote and final design is provided along with images of elements to be used in the design. A further 50% deposit is paid to secure your order and allow me to start making.

Your piece is created - images and videos of work in progress are sent as things come together. Final design tweaks can happen at this point. Once your piece / pieces are finished your final payment will be due. Once your balance is settled your custom designed accessories will be package in a luxury keepsake box and ship it to you.
